New data protection legislation is being introduced in Europe, governing how businesses use, store, process and delete personal information. We wanted to give you a heads up about what the legislation means and how Findmyshift will be compliant.
What is the GDPR?
The EU are introducing new data protection laws in the form of the GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulation, which will be introduced from 25th May 2018. The legislation aims to protect the privacy of EU residents by giving them a greater say over what, how, why, where and when their personal data is used, processed, or deleted.
In order to do so the GDPR requires relevant organisations to implement stricter security protocols and procedures. To find out more information about the GDPR we recommend you visit the official GDPR portal or speak to a specialist lawyer or advisor.
