Get started in seconds
Since we’re confident you’ll love our smart rota solution, we’ve made it as easy as possible for you to get started. You can start your free trial simply by creating your first rota.
Just enter the names of your staff members directly into Findmyshift, or upload a spreadsheet. You can also transfer data in from another app.
Simply add your employees’ names to create your first rota.
Just click and type to add your shifts
Once you’ve added your employees, it couldn’t be easier to start assigning shifts. Each cell in your rota represents one day and one employee, so simply select a cell, type in the shift times, and presto! You’ve created your first shift.
You can add shift start and end times, as well as breaks, simply by typing. Findmyshift will recognise the times and record them automatically.
Keep your employees updated
Once you’ve assigned your first shifts, you’ll want to keep your employees informed. Head over to your outbox where you’ll see some initial messages ready to send. You can use a variety of messaging features to keep employees in the loop: emails, texts, and push notifications.
Shift notifications are generated whenever you assign new shifts, making it easy to keep everyone aware of their commitments.

Once you’ve got initial assignments out of the way, take some time to familiarise yourself with the rest of the platform. We’ve designed it to be as intuitive as possible and are constantly adding new features and making improvements.

Gather feedback
Lastly, talk to your team throughout your free trial. Find out how you can use Findmyshift in a way that suits them. That might involve discussing how much autonomy they are given to swap shifts, and who is responsible for approving rota changes.
You can appoint time off assistants to help you and use this as a chance to give certain employees more responsibility.
